Steve Prior

Hello, my name is Steve Prior; I have been working as an associate trainer with Focus since 2002.

I have over 22 years experience as a trainer and in facilitating individual and group development.

I qualified as a Youth worker in 1983, and spent 2 years working with young people at risk before joining a commercial training organisation in 1985. I have designed and delivered training for many blue chip organisations in the manufacturing, retail, educational and financial sectors, working with a diversity of groups such as senior /middle managers, graduates, team leaders and their teams.

During the early 90's I spent 5 years-managing training teams for two companies before setting up as an independent training consultant in 1996. I am a Licentiate member of the CIPD and hold a number of other qualifications relevant to using the outdoors as a training medium.

I get a great amount of pleasure and satisfaction from my work, and find it particularly rewarding to see people going beyond their previously defined boundaries of what is possible.

My other passion is climbing and mountaineering which have given me some truly memorable moments in my life and continue to teach me many things.
