The further a manager progresses up the leadership tree , the more apparent it becomes that their personal and leadership skills are more important than their technical ability. Senior managers and directors need to adapt to a leadership role that becomes more complex.
At this level many senior managers and directors have previously attended traditional classroom based courses. They know the theory and are now looking for something different; a programme tailored to their individual needs that involves someone who is external to their environment, who they can build a relationship with and use as a sounding board to test out their potential strategies and actions.
We at Focus recognise that coaching needs to be flexible to suit the needs of our delegates. This is why we offer a 3 stage process, each stage involves half a day of the executive's time and incorporates a session on discussing needs and agreeing approaches, the use of a suitable behavioral tool - often 360, and feedback and action planning.
