Morning everyone – hope you’ve all got an interesting bank holiday planned!
As you know we will be running our Summer taster day on the 16th June this year – less than 3 weeks away! Sometimes, prior to taster days or workshop, we have calls from delegates who are concerned about the outdoor activities and if they will have to do anything physically challenging. We’re pleased to tell you that you have nothing to worry about, as every activity has been specially designed to help you learn new people, team or management skills - NOT to test your strength or fitness. You will be moving your body physically to complete the tasks however there is a role for everyone on each of the tasks so we will ensure you are never asked to do something you feel is out of your capabilities. Hope you all had a lovely weekend! As you know, here at Focus Experiential Training, we are gearing up for the summer taster day on the 16th June: trying to book the weather, talking with the chef about what delicious lunch time treats she will be making and working out the best way to give our guests the most useful and enjoyable day we can. As usual the places are filling up quickly, but we wanted to take a quick minute to remind you why the Taster Days are really beneficial for you. Not only will you have a memorable day and hopefully solutions to your training needs, but you can also have the peace of mind of knowing that your people will experience quality, impacting training which can be easily applied back in the work place. Basically, our Taster Days allow you to experience a day as a delegate prior to committing any budget. Learn what our clients think of our training solutions.

Afternoon!
As you may know, Focus Training is based on the beautiful and award winning Clough Bottom Farm in the stunning Ribble Valley, Lancashire. It’s a perfect backdrop to open the mind to creative thinking and to help delegates concentrate on developing skills away from the office. Ness, who looks after the Clough Bottom site, has included a video on the home page which gives a sense of our lovely training environment. Focus Summer Taster Day Date Announced

Good morning! We’re pleased to let you know that we have the Summer Taster Day date for you! On the 16th June, we will be running a day for our clients and anyone interested in learning more about how Focus Training can help your training needs. The day will feature outdoor experiential learning, using the specially designed activities around our beautiful 365 acre organic farm. We will be posting further details very soon, but wanted to let you know the date as soon as possible. Winning Awards & Shaking Hands – Clough Bottom is ‘Officially Beautiful’

A compliment is nice, a few people admiring gives us a fluffy feeling, but a visit to London to see a Lord AND the chance to shake the hand of a man who is known to make a mean sticky toffee pudding – well – that’s a whole new level of good feeling! So, we’re on a bit of a high and so pleased to tell you that Clough Bottom, home of Focus Training has won Highly Commended for the North West in the Beautiful Farm Awards 2009/10.
We’ve long known that our 360 acre organic farm, the location of our experiential training, is more than a bit special, but it’s fantastic that Harry and Jane Backhouse’s hard work at Clough Bottom has been recognised. The farm creates the perfect atmosphere to facilitate learning, open up to creativity and focus on developing new skills in a safe environment. Please get in touch if you’d like to know more!

What’s going on down at t’farm?

Morning Everyone,
As you know Focus Training is situated on Clough Bottom Farm in the stunning Ribble Valley. It’s a beautiful place and an ideal location to open the mind, generate creativity and encourage learning.
You may wonder what else is happening on the farm other than our ILM accredited training centre. Well, Clough Bottom is a hive of activity! It boasts award winning cottages, a successful trees and shrubs business, and Harry’s Limousin and Aberdeen Angus cows which produce delicious organic beef. Have a look at the Video which gives an overview of the site and see how it creates a backdrop which is very different to any other training centre you may have experienced!
