A Big Thank You to all who attended the final Taster Day of 2009!
What did our guests think?
We're sure that the two course traditional xmas lunch played a part in our guests deciding to join us on the 10th December Taster Day - 'Practise is more important than Talent', but we're delighted that it was such an enjoyable and beneficial day for all. Guests tell us that the learning was practical with application back to the workplace. One guest felt the the taster day was well delivered and organised, and she was made to feel welcome. Focus Training was described as an "excellent venue, trainers and catering".
We're also really pleased that so many of our visitors enjoyed the structured networking sessions. It's always beneficial to share conversation and experience with fellow HR and L&D professionals - and to make new contacts.
The morning session, run by Joanne McTiffin, entitled "Practise is more important than Talent" was an interactive presentation which helped attendees focus on their own personal development and to look at developing a culture back at work where they could work with their teams to practise, seek feedback, reflect, learn and improve. Guests rated this as "enjoyable - thought provoking and well paced". Another L&D Manager particularly liked it when we "identified deliberate practice we could do and build into our usual working day".
After a delicious xmas lunch ("How can you improve on perfection?"), some cracker pulling and casual networking, guests took part in a fun experiential cup-stacking activity which created learning points that were transferable to work.
Comments and feedback show that this was a useful day for all who attended - so a big thank you to all who joined us and helped to make it enjoyable for everyone.
